Wilderness Workshop: Snow Safety, Snow navigation, using crampons, Ice Axes, and snowshoes

Adventure overview

Want to learn some of the basics of the wilderness? Attend our workshop for some fun, learning, snacks, and prizes! This workshop will cover staying safe in the snow. We will cover using snowshoes, crampons, microspikes, ice axes and how to navigate snow covered trails. We will give out information, handle the snacks, handle lunch, give out info packets, you'll have the opportunity to win some prizes, and we will do a short hike! Come and join us for some fun and learning!

Level of Activity

Been doing some day hikes recently and want more? This is for you. We will be covering about 5 miles of ground, but this will be some mileage done at elevations at or above 6k feet.

Difficulty Rating: 3.5

We rate our adventures on a 1-5 scale with 1 being the easiest and 5 being the most strenuous.
